The Bield at Blackruthven is a centre for Christian spirituality, retreat and healing where people are welcome for day visits or longer residential stays. 

 

The Bield is set in extensive grounds with well maintained, lawns, hedges, flower meadow and specimen trees. There is a traditional walled garden with well stocked borders and lawns, cut flower garden, healing garden, glasshouse, trained fruit trees and organic vegetable plots. 

 

Within the grounds there is a fruit cage, azalea border and a new Japanese garden in development. 

 

The garden team consists of the head gardener, assistant gardener and occasional volunteers. 

 

We are looking for a seasonal gardener from March to the end of September to join our team. 

 

The hours are preferably 8am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday but we can be flexible to suit. Some garden knowledge and experience is essential. A reliable, hard working, friendly and enthusiastic person is required.   

 

The national minimum wage applies.
