Swedish Massage Therapy
The main benefit of Swedish Massage Therapy is that it helps to relax the entire body. There are however many benefits to this therapy which helps to bring balance to the physical, mental and emotional self, and some of these include:
• Improves circulation, flexibility & posture
• Decreases muscle tension and toxins
• Lowers stress levels
• Enhances health and nourishment of the skin
• Helps to promote a better nights sleep
In Swedish Massage the session starts with broad, flowing strokes that will help to calm the nervous system and relax exterior muscle tension. As the body becomes relaxed, pressure will gradually be increased to relax specific areas and relieve areas of muscular tension or repetitive activity. People usually feel very relaxed after a massage and may also experience the freedom from aches and pains developed from tension or repetitive activity. Due to toxins being released from the body during a massage the client should always drink plenty of water following the treatment.
Hot Stone Massage
Hot stone therapy is a specialist massage that uses smooth, flat, heated basalt stones that are positioned along your spine, in the palms of your hands, along your legs and between the toes. Typically from river beds, basalt stones are used for massage as they have a rich iron content that retains heat.
A hot stone massage will begin with a traditional Swedish massage technique to prepare your muscles. The stones warm and relax your muscles, allowing deeper pressure to be applied during your massage.
Warm Bamboo Massage
This therapeutic massage uses heated bamboo sticks using varying lengths and diameters
to roll, knead and relax the muscles. This treatment releases stress and tension from the body,
is deeply relaxing, gently detoxifying and improves blood flow to surrounding tissues. The benefit of
the heat is that it allows for a deeper and easier release of tension from the body and lets you feel
wonderfully soothed and relaxed.
Rejuvenating Face Massage
The techniques used in Rejuvenating Face Massage are a blend of Japanese and Indian face massage, also known as Facial Rejuvenation or Natural Facelift. The treatment also incorporates accupressure and facial reflexology. These techniques help to tone the skin and bring a relaxed and healthy glow to the face.
