Our Shepherd’s Hut is available for individual retreats. An intimate one-person place apart for all seasons. Enjoy the quiet splendour of the views over fields and woodland in the beautiful setting of the Bield at Blackruthven Estate.

Whether you wish to be away from it all to focus on a writing- or different project, relax or pray, the Shepherd’s Hut may be just the place for you.

Primarily self-catering, you can book for meals in the Steading in advance. The minimum stay is 3 nights. When the Bield is open to guests, you are welcome to explore the gardens and use the swimming pool where you will also find showers. The Chapel services at 9am and 5 pm are open to all.
