A Space To Pause and Reflect

We all carry memories of people, places and experiences that have shaped us. Some memories bring comfort; others hold sadness, bereavement, longing or change.
This gentle retreat offers time and space to pause, reflect and connect with what matters through nature, quiet observation and simple creative invitations.
The day draws on the changing rhythms of nature, the beauty of autumn, and the qualities of light, colour and texture. There will be time for stillness, creativity and quiet observation, allowing space for personal reflection within the peaceful surroundings of The Bield.

The Day
The day unfolds at a gentle pace, with time to notice, reflect and respond in ways that feel meaningful to you. Drawing inspiration from treasured objects, materials in the Creative Space and the peaceful surroundings of The Bield, you will be invited to explore memories
through simple creative activities, quiet observation and time spent in nature.
There is no expectation to create a finished piece, and no previous artistic experience is needed. Whether you choose to gather autumn leaves, arrange natural materials, make simple marks, write, or simply sit quietly, you are encouraged to follow your own rhythm throughout the day.
