COVID-19 Guest Information

Dear Bield Guest

We are looking forward to welcoming you to the Bield and wanted to let you know of some changes we have made due to COVID-19.

Our aim is to keep everyone, guests and staff, as safe as possible.

We would ask you to follow the guidelines below.

Before or at time of arrival, please:

Guests are asked to arrive no later than 3:30pm

Do NOT come to the Bield if you show any symptoms of COVID-19. Any monies paid can be refunded or carried forward to your next booking. If you develop symptoms whilst here, or back at home please inform reception by phone and return home if well enough to travel.

We ask that you check government guidelines in your area for any restrictions on travel

Pay in full BEFORE arrival – either by BACS [RBS 00100095; 83-47-00] or by Card over the phone.

Please note bedrooms may not be available until 2.00pm as they will require extra cleaning.

Check-in at reception, we will have an Infrared temperature monitor at reception to test your temperature on arrival.

Use hand sanitizer [alcohol based] when entering the building or upstairs corridor. If allergic to the alcohol version, please bring your own sanitizer.

Bring your own Bible as we have removed books from the bedrooms.

Bring face coverings and wear it whenever you are moving indoors in public areas

During your stay, please:

Follow the one-way system around the Steading building.

Observe 1 metre social distancing.

Do not use the downstairs toilets. You will be allocated an en-suite room or, if not available, you will be allocated a shower room and toilet (this may be a shared facility). Please only use the toilet in your room or the one allocated to you.

Strip your bed on the morning of your departure but do not remake it.

For Chapel services, we normally use the laminated copy of the chapel service as these sheets can be cleaned easily.

Keep to the same seat in chapel, the dining room and the lounge during your stay.

Do not use the upstairs guest kitchen.

All meals and refreshments will be served by staff wearing masks or face shields.

We will use outdoor spaces as much as possible for morning and evening prayers.

1:1 Sessions will be held either outdoors or in well ventilated rooms.

The swimming Pool will be in use, for residential guests only, certain guidelines - please ask.

The Art Room is available. Please follow the clear instructions for materials etc. in the space.

Staff will be carrying out regular routine cleaning including the use of a sanitizing fogging machine and a steam cleaner – please bear with them if they ask you to move while a room is cleaned.

We are doing everything we can to keep you safe so please enjoy the Bield in all its splendour!
