We look forward to sharing some or all of Holy Week and Easter with you. Taking some retreat time gives you time and space to reflect and pray through the events leading up to Jesus’ death, his resurrection and the on-going story of which we are a part.
Every day will have a rhythm of morning and evening prayer. Morning prayer will be followed by a time of meditation on relevant themes for the day and material for going deeper will be on offer.
You will have the opportunity to share your special journey with a spiritual accompanier if desired.
At certain times, we will explore the relevance and meaning of seasonal poems for our faith.
At others, explore the natural environment of Blackruthven Estate on guided walks to see how God may speak to us in nature.
You will also be given the chance to pray in other ways: in the labyrinth, in the swimming pool or through body prayer.
In the art space, you will have the opportunity to explore the sacred dimension of your life in a non-rational way, or just play with the materials available.
We trust the comfort, the peaceful surroundings and good resources of the Bield will support you during your retreat.
