NHS Wellness Days - Days set aside specifically for NHS staff to spend a day at the Bield, slow down, relax and unwind.  You will be able to opt in or out from various activities as seems right for you.

Slow Stitching Day - hand sewing with intention and thoughtfulness, focusing on   the thoughts that arise as we pull the needle through the fabric slowly and calmly. More details here

Capacitar Taster Sessions - simple holistic wellness practices which enable people to reconnect with their own wisdom and capacity, promoting healing, wholeness and peace.  More information here

Sacred Pauses- quiet day of prayer following the daily rhythm of the Hours from the monastic tradition. There will be pauses for coming together for prayer at the start of the day, midday, mid afternoon and evening . Free time in between to use the facilities. Read more here

Holding Space for Silence, Quiet days at the Bield -These retreats will introduce ways of stilling yourself and prayer material. All ways of praying are a means to developing your relationship with God. Hopefully you will find and deepen one or more that support your inner journey.  More information here

Going Deeper with the Enneagram -in this workshop we seek to go deeper and learn something of how we can use this information as a basis for our personal growth in self-knowledge and compassion with a view to become a better functioning person in everyday life.  Read more here

Holy Week Retreat- join us as we journey with Jesus through Holy Week to the cross, in order to celebrate well on Easter Day. We will explore through imaginative contemplation, art, poetry, music and silence.

Mythical Voyages – A day exploring how the creative imagination can aid one’s spiritual journey, focusing on the voyage of St Brendan we will reflect on where god may be leading us whilst making an ornamental boat to take away.

Praying and responding to the 12 Mysteries, paintings by Michael Cook. Looking at the images created by Michael Cook of the 12 unnamed characters in the gospels e.g. the woman at the well, the Syrophoenician woman and spending time with one of them in private prayer and reflection. 6 pictures are shown on each day.

Nature days at The Bield- A family friendly half day exploration of the wonders of nature, connecting and caring for our world. Experience the Bield environment, fun activities and making homes for wildlife etc. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Under 5's free

Silent Week – Time to draw back from the normal business of living, reflect on your walk in life and open yourself to God. Only guests on silent retreat will be staying with us at this time.

A line made by Walking – This retreat explores the work of artist Richard Long, who links the material world with the spiritual realm by reconstructing time and place. We will be experimenting with our own creative ways to reconnect one’s inner truth and find deeper meaning

Embracing Autumn – an invitation to let go. This retreat offers an invitation to go deeper with the wisdom of the Autumn season, using a variety of contemplative and creative approaches.

Writing as  a Spiritual Practice - A two- day retreat with writing time in-between.  Meditating on our personal and spiritual experience from a variety of different starting points.  Writing exercises and prompts will encourage you to produce your own written reflections.

Vessel Making and Meditating - These retreats combine guided meditation with vessel making to explore our own identity as Gods created. Participants will be introduced to a different meditation and vessel making process on each day; Paper, clay and felt.
